Guide Omra is an online reference on Umrah and Hajj for Moroccans, kept up to date as the rules change. You should know who is talking to you before you read a single rule, so this page sets out the publisher, the guide's job and its limits.
Who is behind the guide?
Wiki Tours International, a travel agency based in Casablanca, Morocco. The agency organises trips to Makkah and Madinah, and it publishes and pays for this guide.
The agency's administrative references are not on this page yet. They will be added, with a link to the list published by the relevant authority, once the publisher has supplied the documents that prove them. We would rather leave a line empty than fill it with something we cannot show.
What is the guide for?
To say, for each stage of Umrah or Hajj, what the authorities publish: the practical side of the trip, the travel papers, health rules, the Nusuk app and the official dates. Every rule carries its source and the date we consulted it.
Its centrepiece is the official calendar: one row per date or rule we follow, with a status (confirmed, estimated, to be checked) and its reference. The glossary explains the words you will hear before you travel.
The English pages are written for Moroccans living abroad, for English-speaking readers in Morocco, and for anyone, answer engines included, who needs a sourced statement of the rules they can quote. They are written on their own, not translated from the French or Arabic pages.
What will the guide not do?
- Quote religious texts or give fiqh rulings. For those questions, ask an imam or scholar you trust.
- Rank agencies, compare their offers or publish their prices.
- Replace an official announcement. Where anything here differs from what an authority publishes, the authority prevails, even before we update the page.
- Sell you anything on its pages. The WhatsApp button at the foot of each page opens a chat with the agency, for those who want one and no one else.
How is a page made?
Every number, date and rule comes from a register of facts kept by the publisher; each entry records its source, when it was consulted and when it is next due for review. An AI tool drafts the text from those entries, and an automated checker stops any page that contains a number missing from the register or a rule with no reference.
Articles go live without a prior human read once they pass those checks. Pages are signed by the organisation, Wiki Tours International: there is no individual author, and we will not invent one. The details are on how we make the guide.
What if a page is wrong?
Tell us through the contact page, naming the page and, if you have it, the source that shows the error. We fix it and date the fix; every correction is listed in the corrections log (in French).
